Throwback Tuesday

My Three Anthonies
About 90 minutes old.

Ten days old.

Two and a half months. My grandson Diego Rivera. Did the eyes and head while he dozed off with a pacifier in his mouth.  The rest after he fell asleep.

Back to the Park

Sometimes, when I do a drawing I feel it should extend beyond the edges. So I went back to the park.

Throw Back Thursday

February 21, 2016: a piece of abandoned furniture in a cleared lot with fieldstone ruins on Union Valley Road in Mahopac.

This one is a shout out to my friend and colleague, Chrissy Brooks. Her still life setups for her drawing and painting classes are amazing compositions! I like to stay late at school and work from them myself. Why should the kids have all the fun?
Actually it turns out they're beets.

And now her students are getting into the act. A net Natalie? Really?

A drawing a day basically keeps me sane. And nobody ever sees them since they're tucked away in my sketchbooks which I take every where I go. Just ask anybody who knows me. So I thought I'd try to post a drawing a day as I make them, but there'll be a lot of older ones thrown in too. I won't have much to say except that this is the one thing I really love to do.

Today's offering: the Lion's Club carnival rides are packed up and waiting for the ground to dry out enough to drive them out of Fireman's field. Got it just as the sun was going down. And I got to meet a very nice local police officer too.
